Legendary NASCAR Engine Builder Eddie Lanier joins us Monday May 16th 2022 at 7pm on Racing Routes with Hamm. You’ll hear the stories from his decades as an engine builder in NASCAR. Eddie started working at Holman and Moody (Charlotte, NC), Ford Motor Company’s stock car “factory”, in 1966. He built engines at Richard Childress Racing and is best known for powering Dale Earnhardt Sr. to 29 Winston Cup victories and 4 of the Intimidator’s seven championships. Supplying power for such leading drivers as David Pearson, Cale Yarborough, Harry Gant, and Richard Petty, Lanier has been associated with 60 Winston Cup victories and 11 titles.
